The chat on this site
When you type a question, it goes to our website with the last few messages, so the answer makes sense. Our website picks a prepared answer from our approved facts. Your messages aren't sent to any other company.
Our website doesn't save the chat. It stays in your browser window, and refreshing or closing the page clears it. Please don't type card numbers, passwords or other private details.
Check my business
Check my business isn't open yet, so nothing is kept. When it opens, we keep the business name, town and the AI answers for 30 days to show your result and stop repeat checks, then delete them. Your internet address is only used, scrambled, to limit checks and is deleted within a day. The AIs (OpenAI, Google and Perplexity) get only the traveller questions with your town, not your business name.
The monthly check by email
The monthly check isn't open yet, so nothing is kept. Here's how it will work. Under your check result you can leave your email for a monthly check. We only add you if you tick the box. We then send you one email asking you to reply YES, and we only start after you reply. If you don't reply within 14 days, we delete your request and never write again. Once you reply, we keep your email, the business name, town and type, your first result, the words you agreed to and the dates, for 6 months. Each month we ask the AIs the same traveller questions again and email you from our own address what changed. After 6 months it stops by itself, and we delete it all within 2 weeks. We don't use your email for anything else.
To stop sooner, reply "stop" to any of our monthly emails, or email hello@alpinewave.ca. We stop and delete your watch straight away.
Phone calls
Our phone number, (236) 760-3002, is answered by our AI phone assistant. At the start of each call it tells you it's an AI assistant and that calls are recorded. It runs on Retell, the company behind our phone assistant, so Retell receives the call and your phone number.
Retell keeps a recording and transcript of each call for 30 days, then deletes them. We use them only to follow up with you and to check and fix the assistant's answers. We don't use them to train an AI model.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Vercel. Vercel keeps short-lived server logs, including visitors' internet addresses, to run and protect the site. See Vercel's privacy policy.
We note when an AI service (like ChatGPT or Claude) reads a page, and which site sent a visitor here (for example chatgpt.com). We don't keep your internet address or anything that identifies you.
If you email us, we read it and we answer it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your information.
- This site has no ad tracking, and nothing that follows you as a person.
This site serves its own fonts, so no font company sees your visit.
Seeing or deleting your information
Email hello@alpinewave.ca and tell us what you'd like to see, fix or delete. We'll do it and reply within 30 days.
